Student Application

Application Requirements

Only individuals possessing a current Eligibility Certificate, issued by the AFSRB, are permitted to engage in any activities which are restricted to licensed individuals or trainees under supervision.  Specifically, logged activities for the purpose of training and credentialing can only be completed by individuals with a current Eligibility Certificate.

To become a registered student with the AFSRB in Alberta, you must fulfill the following requirements.

   Step 1: Gather the required documents

   Step 2: Apply for the student certification
The Business Manager will need to submit the application through the online licensing system.

Licences will not be issued until payment has been received.

Student Dual Funeral Director/Embalmer Fee   $ 50.00
Student Funeral Director Fee   $ 50.00
Student Embalmer Fee   $ 50.00
Student Pre-Need Salesperson Fee   $ 25.00

Application Approval Process

Once you have submitted the application, it will be sent to your business manager for approval. You will receive an email when the certificate has been approved.
